Security Tips For Full-Time Travel
Imagine yourself in the most beautiful place. Picture the snow-capped mountains in the distance and desert views for miles. You've traveled a long way to get to this point. You've packed your life in that tiny space and headed for adventure!
Now, envision a beautiful day of hiking trails along the dessert ridges, stumble upon a flowing stream and take a dip to cool off from the dry desert heat!
Typically, you've hiked a long way to get to this point and left your home in the middle of a parking lot, on the side of a road, or even in the desert where you've made a basecamp.
Upon return, someone has broken in. The intruders took everything, a van life nightmare!
Although we can replace tangible items, the fear of someone invading our home while we aren't there makes us uneasy occasionally. We end up in sketchy places now and then, which is a legitimate fear when on the road and so far away from home.
Instead of fully immersing ourselves in the adventure we're about to embark on, we're left with a horrible feeling in the pit of our stomach and tend to return to the van quicker than we planned.
There are many options when choosing extra security, and we highly recommend doing so for your peace of mind! While we plan to up our security game again, we will continue to use our extra locks called Slick Locks.
